Dr Susan Walsh

Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1969, after school, Dr Walsh attended the Dublin Institute of Technology, where she received a Diploma in marketing. She holds a PhD in marketing and management from the University of Ulster, Belfast, Ireland, as well as numerous other academic and professional qualifications in business.

Dr Walsh started her career in banking and worked in retail, corporate and private banks for 11 years in both the North and South of Ireland. She then moved into academia and held a fellowship at the Dublin Institute of Technology as well as lecturing positions in a number of state and private third level institutions. She is a member of the VDU, Institute of Directors , sits on the IKAR Mentorship Board, and is one of only 400 Irish people invited to attend the Irish Global Economic Forum. After moving to Munich in 2004, Susan founded Globe Business College and has spent the last decade and a half perfecting a unique education model that centres on one on one, customised business education for the sons and daughters of family company owners. Today, she divides her between the College, speaking events to promote the need for relationship based education in a digitalised society and working at a strategic level in both Ireland and Europe on the future of education.
