The VdU hosted a riveting discussion around the topic of disruption and innovation in education during their webinar on December, 15th attended by Dr. Susan Walsh. Thomas Stein spoke about his experience of disruption in the music sector and made links to what is currently happening in education. Our two education experts (both founders of innovative teaching institutions) discussed their experience of innovation on the ground in these turbulent times.
COVID 19 has accelerated massive disruption in education globally. Many traditional institutions, from school right through to university level, have been caught totally off-guard and many are living through an abrupt ‘wake-up” call. Meanwhile the Googles of the world are now entering the educational sector and these new players will reshape education with new approaches, models and delivery modes. Now more than ever, relationship driven models that are based on human connectivity, character building and skill development are required.
The session was then followed by a Q and A with the panel.
